The night moves in and she lets the tears fall. She lets out what she can and then resews the wound. Covers it, hides it. Looking up, she notices the moon. Her questions unanswred she stairs out at the moon, the stars, and the great ocean. Falling is the best experience. A taste of flying. Small as it is, it's perfect. No voices full of uncertainty. No eyes full of smothered heat. Just cool salty breath upon her face.

Now that I have torn myself from my illusions, I can see clearly all my mistakes.
I can breath air that was denied to my scorched lungs.
You told me so many things in my old world.
But here as I stand, recreated and stronger, I see all those stories as lies.
And with each lie I sift through, I can see thin strips of my heart falling away.
Slowly, my body cracks and falls away.
Now I am of a new vessel.
